GET THE SHOCKWAVE PLAYER
To use PhotoJam, you will need the Shockwave Player version 8.0 or greater. If you don't have it (we'll let you know if you don't), just visit the Shockwave Download center at http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/ to download and install the latest Shockwave Player.
PREPARE YOUR PHOTOS
Your PhotoJam can be created with either jpeg or gif files. Simply place all of the images you wish to use in a single folder and give it a name. This name will become the title of your PhotoJam (don't worry, you can always change it within the application).
PhotoJam will display your pictures in numerical and then alphabetical order, based on file names in your folder. To place your pictures in a specific order, it is best to use three-digit numbers for your file names: 001.jpg (or .gif) 002, 003, etc.
- - - Create your own PhotoJam - - -
You should now be ready to run PhotoJam. Make your masterpiece in just three simple steps:
STEP 1 - Chose your photos
Select the folder that contains the photos you'd like to use. You can keep several folders on your hard drive for different PhotoJams.
STEP 2 - Choose your music
PhotoJam 2 comes complete with over 100 songs for yout to use in your PhotoJams.
PhotoJam gives you the option of adding an MP3 audio track to your creation - just select one from anywhere on your hard drive. If you don't have any MP3 files, or would like to expand your library, there are lots of Web sites where you can find them. Here's a good place to start: http://listen.shockwave.com. You cannot share PhotoJams with an MP3 through Shockwave.com.
Music adds a lot, but your PhotoJam will play just fine without a music selection.
STEP 3 - Choose your display style
PhotoJam has eleven different show styles for your masterpiece. You can give your images cool effects and transitions ranging from a scratchy old film to a music video. If you don't select a style, the default is a "fade" transition between photos.
Now just click on WATCH, sit back, and enjoy!
